DOJ Terminates Grant Funding

On April 22, 2025, the Department of Justice terminated Federal grant funding for more than 350 recipients. National CASA was among the many organizations to have its grant funding terminated. As a result, National CASA suspected its operations effective April 24, 2025. National CASA intends to move forward with the appeal process that has been offered to all grantees who received termination notices. You can read National CASA’s official statement here.

Susquehanna Valley CASA is a local and independent 501(c)(3) and is not dependent on funds from National CASA. As a result, Susquehanna Valley CASA will continue to serve abused and neglected children without interruption and will not be impacted by the Department of Justice’s termination of National CASA’s funding.
